Linda's 4 room apartment which is situated inside the walls of a family compound. This dwelling is located in Thies, the second largest city in Senegal. Thies is also the home of the Peace Corps Training Center.

The Meridien Hotel is a luxury hotel which hosts international guests and conferences. It is located just outside Dakar.

 

This is the U.S. ambassador's residence in the capital city. The Peace Corps Volunteers have been invited to celebrate the end of their in-country training. They will now leave for their posts throughout the country.

This house is in the city of Thies. The Dieng compound consists of their home to the right. There are two additional homes that they rent out. The three homes enclose a courtyard where the daughters are standing beside the mango tree.
